It's easier to manage environments (connection strings, API keys etc etc) in shell plus I can use my shell env directly, outside the IDE, too. Why? Because it enables starting the IDE with whatever environment I have in shell. No more messing with virtualenvs or anything - it handles it magically.Ģ use of Pycharm's command line launcher.
